PENN Regiment II 9′ Heavy Popping Rod is a powerful two-piece rod engineered for anglers targeting tuna, GTs, kingfish, and reef predators. Its heavy power and fast taper provide the backbone needed for launching poppers and stickbaits inshore and offshore.

Constructed on PENN’s SLS3 blank (spiral-wrapped carbon/glass composite), this rod offers lightweight strength and top-tier sensitivity. The 2.70 m rod (transport length ~181 cm, weight ~460 g) handles 80–160 g lures, with a heavy fast action that drives large hooks and punches current. 

Components include quality EVA grips, a rubber gimbal butt for belt mounting, and corrosion-resistant guides—ensuring durability and comfort during tough battles at sea. It also comes with a Cordura tube for storage and travel protection.
